Head of Anesthesiology is responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Being a Head of Anesthesiology works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Additionally, Head of Anesthesiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Head of Anesthesiology manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Anesthesiology typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Assist in planning, providing and preparing nutritional meal service for program children and special activities. Assist in the responsibility for cleanliness of the kitchen and food service areas in accordance with Health Department standards, with additional housekeeping duties as assigned by the Health, Nutrition & Safety Manager.
