Head of Anesthesiology is responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Being a Head of Anesthesiology works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Additionally, Head of Anesthesiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Head of Anesthesiology manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Anesthesiology typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Crouse Hospital is located in Syracuse, New York Crouse Hospital offers a variety of cases and sites, centrally located within a one block radius from one another.
Crouse includes the main hospital, 2 ASC’s, and an Endo Center. You will find a collegial anesthesia environment as well as supportive working relationships with the surgeons and OR staff.

Current open shifts are 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts. Call is voluntary and not required. Post-call day off. Additional pay for call is offered.

Salary : $120.19 / hour for a call taking position
