The Department of Anesthesiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is excited to announce we are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Trauma Anesthesia Fellowship position.
We are looking for a Trauma Anesthesia Fellow/Clinical Instructor in a unique academic center with high volume and high acuity that is the only Level 1 Trauma Institution, Pediatric Trauma and Critical Care Unit, Disaster Resource Center, and academic STEMI Center in the South Bay area of Los Angeles.
The purpose of a fellowship in Trauma Anesthesia at Harbor-UCLA is to produce individuals likely to expand the profile of trauma anesthesia practices in the future by preparing them for a career in trauma anesthesia during a one year fellowship. In addition, the fellowship program will help ensure the ongoing development of trauma anesthesia as a defined subspecialty at our home institution.
The position includes teaching, basic TEE, trauma ICU, acute pain management, ultrasound guided procedures, being a team member in pre-hospital settings such as in an ambulance or a flight-for-life helicopter, and mentored clinical research. This position includes opportunities for incentive moonlighting internally.
