Head of Anesthesiology jobs in New Britain, CT
Head of Anesthesiology is responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Being a Head of Anesthesiology works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Additionally, Head of Anesthesiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Head of Anesthesiology manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Anesthesiology typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Join this collegial organization to be optimally staffed with nine Anesthesiologists and 11 CRNAs.
Additional clinical support in the practice through Anesthesia Techs and Cardiac RNs.
The practice provides all services for a 300 bed community teaching hospital, inpatient, outpatient pain, and obstetrics as well as contracting with the local GI practice covering its endoscopy services.
