Head of Home Care leads and directs the daily operations of a home health care agency. Establishes and implements quality standards for patient care. Being a Head of Home Care measures and monitors patient satisfaction and outcomes. Ensures that all operations and reporting requirements comply with regulations. Additionally, Head of Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Head of Home Care manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Home Care typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care for individuals in a residential setting
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in home care, direct support, or social work preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to lift and assist with transfers as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High level of compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with diverse needs
