Head of Home Care leads and directs the daily operations of a home health care agency. Establishes and implements quality standards for patient care. Being a Head of Home Care measures and monitors patient satisfaction and outcomes. Ensures that all operations and reporting requirements comply with regulations. Additionally, Head of Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Head of Home Care manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Head of Home Care typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Responsibilities-
Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.

Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
-
Help with mobility
-
Plan and prepare meals
-
Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.

Perform light housekeeping duties
-
Report any changes in condition/ Advocate for clients

Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Encourage activities/exercises that are essential for daily living

Provide safety supervision
Qualifications-
18 or Older
-
Ability to submit to and pass drug screen and criminal background check

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations

Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

Availability to work different shifts

Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment *preferred but not required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license and car insurance and/or reliable transportation
