Head of Home Care leads and directs the daily operations of a home health care agency. Establishes and implements quality standards for patient care. Being a Head of Home Care measures and monitors patient satisfaction and outcomes. Ensures that all operations and reporting requirements comply with regulations. Additionally, Head of Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Head of Home Care manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Circle of Life Home Care is seeking Personal Care Attendants throughout South Dakota and in our Oglala, MN office. We pay attractive compensation (hourly rates) that are among the highest in our industry and competitive peer group, and provide flexible employment options.
Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) support the elderly or people with disabilities with their activities of daily living. A PCA helps the client remain living in their own homes and remain independent in their communities. The fulfilment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job. If you are a compassionate, positive person who is not afraid to work hard, then this is a job for you. We expect you to be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks, independent living services and caring for the elderly or individuals with disabilities will make you a strong candidate, but is not required, as we provide adequate training and support.
Compensation: Hourly, dependent on experience. $400 sign on bonus ($200 paid after 90 days, remaining paid after 180 days)
Requirements:
- Have the ability to work with individuals with disabilities
- Assist clients with identifying and implementing skills needed to promote independence
- Participate in five hours of training in disability and service-related topics annually
- Able to pass a State Background Study
- Valid Driver’s License with less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, this includes DUIs
- Maintain reliable vehicle
- Maintain valid car insurance
- Maintain a cell phone
- Provide personal and home support tasks
Job Duties, include:
- Ensure clients receive their medication on time
- Support clients who can’t move on their own
- Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.
- Assist clients with physical therapy exercises
- Cook meals according to the client's restrictions
- Help clients with their shopping
- Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
- Provide emotional support
- Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
