JOB OVERVIEW:
COMO Kids is enrichment programming for students in elementary and middle school. COMO Kids is curriculum-based, state-licensed child care programs that focus on providing engaging, age-appropriate activities under the supervision of caring, qualified staff. Programs include before and after-care, summer camp and School's Out Vacation Care. The COMO Kids Head Teacher, under the supervision of the Youth Program Administrator is responsible for providing leadership in creating and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, assessing children's performances, effectively communicating with parents and supervising staff in the child care program, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the CT Office of Early Childhood and The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

To keep our staff and families safe, as a licensed and nationally accredited childcare center, we both meet and exceed COVID-19 protocols. All newly hired staff are required to be fully-vaccinated, as defined by the CDC.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year work experience with children is required
PAY: $18 - $19.50 per hour, depending upon education and experience.
SCHEDULE: Monday: 1-6pm, Tuesday-Friday: 12-6pm
