Health Education & Coaching Director provides supervision and direction to a team responsible for providing proactive healthcare education and coaching to plan members. Develops and implements various health education programs and materials designed for plan enrollees, employers, and providers. Being a Health Education & Coaching Director monitors, assesses, and reviews educational programs for effectiveness. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Health Education & Coaching Director typically reports to senior management. The Health Education & Coaching Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Education & Coaching Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Program Description
CEDARS is looking for an individual to assist in managing our Youth Intervention and Family Resources Programs in the Lincoln area. This person will help support our Community Youth Coaching Program and In-Home Family Services.
Community Youth Coaching is a youth-guided, family-driven service designed to provide an innovative, strength-based, supportive and individualized alternative to detention. The program works to strengthen community safety through intensive relationship building, skill building, and positive youth development. We aim to collaborate with the family in coaching and guiding the youth to influence positive behavior change.
In-Home Family Services is an evidence-based program designed to reduce risk of family disruption. This program utilizes in-home visits to build stronger family bonds, improve safety and connect families to community resources. These goals are accomplished through careful assessment and service planning, direct family engagement, implementation of relationship building, stress management and problem-solving strategies.
This position will be tasked with supervising our rural area staff for both CYC and IHFS in both District 1 and District 5. There will be travel involved in order to supervise staff in these rural areas in person and remotely. APD can office remotely, unless they are located in an area where a CEDARS office is located (Omaha and Lincoln). But weekly travel is to be expected for the following locations (Lincoln, Omaha, District 1 (Beatrice) and District 5 (Columbus).
