Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Do you have Group Health and or/ Medicare experience? If you’re a group health expert or have a wealth of knowledge in Medicare - then we have a position for you! Our positions are 1099 contract roles with short-term temporary assignments that provide supplemental income only. The assignments are on an as needed basis, and demand varies throughout the year. Bilingual (English/Spanish) educators are preferred to conduct employee meetings, webinars and benefit fairs nationwide.


    • Please note – To be considered, you can have either Group Health or Medicare experience. If you’re well versed in both, it’s a plus! To qualify for Medicare, you must hold an active Health/Accident/Sickness state insurance license, and must write policies based off your own leads. If you write policies from leads given to you from insurance companies, you would still be eligible for all non-Medicare health and wellness clients.

    Group Health/Medicare Responsibilities

    • Be knowledgeable of the employee benefits/Medicare industry including recent updates/legislation/changes
    • Establish and maintain good, professional relationships with employer and client contacts
    • Educate employees/retirees on all aspects of their health plan and/or ancillary benefits
    • Be comfortable presenting to small and medium groups of people with Q&A sessions
    • Complete client required certifications if applicable (Medicare Only)

    Group Health/Medicare Requirements

    • 3 years of experience explaining employee benefits with a background in benefits and/or insurance
    • Personal laptop with a webcam
    • Have an active residential Health/Accident/Sickness state insurance license (Medicare Specific)
    • Medicare background is preferred but not required
    • Flexible schedule with the ability to take short notice assignments
    • Able to work in an indoor or outdoor environment
    • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft PowerPoint experience
    • Experience with presenting via telepresence (webinar) technology desired
    • Ability to occasionally carry boxes up to 20lbs or stand for long periods of time
    • Ability to travel up to 200 miles and/or travel by air to other states is a plus
