Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Pay Range: $44.34 - $71.60

    The clinical educator is a registered nurse with expertise in education who influences professional role, competence and professional growth of nurses in a variety of settings. The clinical educator serves as an educator, change agent, facilitator, consultant and researcher. The Clinical Educator supports the development of bedside nurses and fosters empowerment through knowledge and skills to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidence-based nursing practice.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing, and
    • Master's Degree - Nursing. Or equivalent educ/experience
    • Actively enrolled in program, projected completion 18 months from date of hire.
    • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
    • 3 years related clinical experience in area of specialty.
    • Adult Education – course development

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certification in nursing core specialty.
    • Formal educator experience.
    • Leadership experience.
    • Simulation (high-fidelity and low-fidelity experience).
