Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Whole Health Educator - Bentonville, AR On-call / Substitute HealthFitness is looking for substitute Health Educators to join the Whole Health team at the new Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center in Bentonville, AR. In this position, you will deliver in person and web-based health education seminars and group training classes on a variety of whole health topics. Successful Whole Health Educators engage and motivate participants to engage in healthy lifestyles and address behaviors such as healthy eating, stress management, increasing physical activity and more. You will provide engaging, practical, science-based seminars in a group setting to help raise awareness of healthy choices and reduce health risks among employees. You will also deliver group wellness classes to support individuals in transforming the way they approach healthy behaviors. This is a substitute/on-call position, covering classes when regular staff is unable to work. What you'll be doing Deliver in person, at our respective client locations, whole health education seminars and group training classes on a variety of wellness subjects. Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of data collected through health education and training activities. Other duties as needed/assigned. What you'll need to have Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Promotion, Health Education, Community Health, Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or other health related field required. Certifications and experience in health-related fields preferred. Proven experience in presenting educational training in group settings. Adult/Child CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date. CHES certification preferred. 2 years of experience in presenting health and wellness seminars.
