T he IMG Education Coordinator is the teacher, clinical resource, practitioner, consultant and change agent for the clinical areas. Collaborating with the employees and providing management of the clinical area; the IMG Education Coordinator is responsible for the assessment, planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of employee educational needs. Serves as a role model for all levels of employees. The position will divide time spent in clinical areas and time spent in classroom.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Plans, implements, directs, and evaluates the education program for IMG based on identified staff needs, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participates in the ambulatory Quality Improvement plan.
• Coordinates the orientation program for new staff and other programs
• Arranges education programs and staff trainings during the year
• Oversees preceptors of new hires
• Conducts annual competency skills evaluations for ambulatory preceptors
• Supports and participates in identification and application of appropriate clinical research and changes in clinical policies and procedures.
• Facilitates Clinical Leadership monthly meetings
• Oversees MA clinical instructor, is knowledgeable about all aspects of Medical Assistant Training Program, Apprentice Program, and Patient Flow Associate (MA on-the-job training), and provides additional support to the instructor, community partners, and students as needed
