Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     • Breathing Coach: Imagine being a personal trainer for the lungs! You'll teach patients breathing exercises and techniques to improve their lung capacity and overall respiratory health. From teaching deep inhalations to tackling stubborn coughs, you'll empower patients to take control of their breath and achieve their full potential. 

    • Team Player: As part of our healthcare team, you'll collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.     Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.

    License(s): 

    Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.

    State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license or equivalent as defined in NAC 652.346. To include; Director of point of care, General supervisor of point of care, Clinical laboratory technologist, Blood gas technician, Blood gas technologist required within 6 months of hire. 

    Certification(s): 

    Current AHA BLS certification required. AHA ACLS & PALS required with-in 6 months, and ongoing thereafter. 

    Computer / Typing: 

    Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
