Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Job Summary:
The BLS Educator's primary responsibility will be supporting, coordinating, and conducting American Heart Association classes that are in the educator s AHA discipline,
The Educator will support classes that are held at any of the RWJBarnabas Campuses and/or any RWJBarnabas sponsored offsite location that is scheduled by the department,
The Educator will maintain all training equipment, complete any daily reports, and/or department checklist as outlined by the Director,
The Educator will work with maintain par levels of paperwork, equipment, and test at the designated locations,
The Educator may assist, in but not limited to, EMT programs, nursing competencies, mock codes, high school health programs, school mock codes, hands only CPR events, health fairs, and other community events,
