Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Healthcare Educator – EMS Instructor in Spokane, WA

    The EMS Instructor is responsible for assessing, planning, implementation, instruction, and evaluation of educational activities for Providence Health Training focusing on pre-hospital and hospital courses. Provides community health education services through presentations, class instruction, information distribution, and working with various organizations. The EMS Instructor must consistently demonstrate professional performance, and reflect the key moral commitments, ethical principles, values and philosophy of the department as set forward in the mission statement.

    Required qualifications:

    • Required upon hire: BLS - American Heart Association

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Upon hire: EMT-P certification

    • 3 years of field experience.

    • 3 years of teaching experience.

    • Upon hire: Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association

    • Upon hire: Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association

    • Upon hire: Washington State EMS Evaluator (willing to obtain and maintain)

    • Upon hire: Instructor Basic Life Support (BLS) -(willing to obtain and maintain)

    • Upon hire: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor (willing to obtain and maintain)

    • Upon hire: Willing to obtain/maintain PALS Instructor certification
