Health Informatics Manager manages a clinical biostatistics or health informatics team. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Position Summary: Responsible for collaborating with laboratory leaders and staff, as well as IT and other Informatics teams, to develop laboratory system efficacy. Participates in organizational committees as an expert laboratory informatics resource, providing guidance and perspective on the design and development of lab information systems to ensure implementation support and to enhance patient care, as well as the organizations operational and strategic priorities. Must be able to multi-task, perform all duties independently with strong prioritization skills and be self-directed in utilizing resources to meet objectives.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree: in scientific related field and 3 years or more of experience in general laboratory. Extensive organizational skills. Basic computer knowledge. Strong understanding of different laboratory workflow processes. Ability to multi-task. Strong prioritization skills. Self-directed.
Certification(s) required: MT/MLS or specialist/technologist certification in any laboratory discipline. CPHIMS or AMIA Informatics certification within 3 years of hire.
Preferred Requirements: Master's Degree. 3 years or more of experience in laboratory informatics. Experience in using Cerner, any LIS, Microsoft
software, Outlook, Remisol, etc. Specialist Certification in any laboratory discipline (e.g. BB, Chem, Immunology, etc.).
