Health Informatics Manager manages a clinical biostatistics or health informatics team. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Being a Health Informatics Manager monitors latest software and technology to keep processes up-to-date and efficient. Communicates with analysts, healthcare providers, and management to establish new processes and analyses, and to tailor current data processes to best help providers. Additionally, Health Informatics Manager requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Health Informatics Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Health Informatics Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Position: Business Informatics Analyst

    Employment Status: Full-time

    Hours per two-week pay-period: 80

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Daily Support for end users
    • Use of analysis skills to provide effective problem solving for end user issue resolution.
    • Coordination with EMR Vendor to achieve resolution of issues and to implement possible system enhancements of process changes.
    • Provide education and training for ends users of EMR to improve efficiency and workflows.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2-year degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business, or Computer/Information Sciences OR an equivalent level of professional experience
    • 2-years’ experience working with Epic EMR
    • Understanding of healthcare operations, IT, or operations knowledge of clinical or revenue cycle process in one or more areas of hospital, clinic, or business office.

    Certifications and Licenses:

    • Informatics certification desired but not required.

    Position Summary:

    Sidney Health Center is seeking an Informatics Analyst to join our I CARE team in the Clinical Informatics setting. Essential duties of the position include daily support and troubleshooting of issues for end users related to both business and clinical areas of EMR, EMR utilization improvement and optimization for end users, and providing education and training on EMR for end users to improve efficiency.
