Health Information Services Director directs and oversees all policies and procedures related to healthcare information management. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the medical records and transcription departments. Being a Health Information Services Director reviews processes and identifies areas for improvement taking into account user needs. May act as liaison between information services and technology department, ensuring that systems are accessible and in accordance with the needs of the organization. Additionally, Health Information Services Director ensures that all record keeping and information disbursement complies with HIPAA regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, a related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Information Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Information Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     We arean innovative, dynamic Skilled Nursing & Assisted Living facility with an exciting opening for an Assistant Director of Dining Services / Assistant Chef.

    Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Dining & Culinary Services:

    • Assisting the Director of Dining services in leading quality dining programs that will enhance the meal experience at our health care campus
    • Ensuring that the dining programs at our health care campuses meet federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations
    • Ensuring that the food service operation is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
    • We are seeking candidates with Chef experience in fine dining establishments. Experience in a long term care and knowledge of the regulations governing long term care facilities is also highly preferred.

    • Associates or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality in the course study that includes food service or restaurant management from an accredited institution of higher learning.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Certified Dietary Manager or,
    • Certified Food Service Manager or,
    • Similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body.
    • In states that have established standards for food service, meets State requirements for food service manager or dietary managers.
    • Serve Safe Certified.

    Experience:

    • Two (2) to three (3) years' supervisory experience in culinary food preparation or kitchen environment. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
    • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
