Health Information Services Director directs and oversees all policies and procedures related to healthcare information management. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the medical records and transcription departments. Being a Health Information Services Director reviews processes and identifies areas for improvement taking into account user needs. May act as liaison between information services and technology department, ensuring that systems are accessible and in accordance with the needs of the organization. Additionally, Health Information Services Director ensures that all record keeping and information disbursement complies with HIPAA regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, a related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Information Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Information Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Duties:

    Independently employs a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in a particular field of specialization to plan, design, develop and support systems and projects. Conducts research and analysis and presents findings for review. Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.

    Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

    Strongly Preferred Skills

    8-10 years working on IT projects, customer support, and/or end user training.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Ability to produce clear written material.

    Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

    Detail oriented, critical thinker that leverages technology to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.

    Effective time management skills to balance workload across multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines proactively and independently.

    Working knowledge of healthcare business processes.

    5 years' experience administrating Informatica Multidomain MDM

    Preferred Skills

    Demonstrable knowledge of Linux/Unix, Websphere, Github, and Oracle 19c queries.

    Thorough understanding of JSON, Open API, REST, and SOAP.

    2 years' Java Development experience.

    Healthcare Patient Data management and HL7 knowledge.

    Experience architecting a master data management implementation or project.

    Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices.
