Health Information Services Director directs and oversees all policies and procedures related to healthcare information management. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the medical records and transcription departments. Being a Health Information Services Director reviews processes and identifies areas for improvement taking into account user needs. May act as liaison between information services and technology department, ensuring that systems are accessible and in accordance with the needs of the organization. Additionally, Health Information Services Director ensures that all record keeping and information disbursement complies with HIPAA regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, a related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Information Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Information Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Director of Physician and Provider Services is a primary liaison for Fairmount and the Eastern Pennsylvania Physician Alliance (EPPA) providers with all outside stakeholders, department directors and administration and acts as liaison and coordinator for office of the CEO to ensure coordinated and efficient operations related to Physician and Provider Services.

    Core functions include:

    • Serve as primary liaison for physicians and providers with all outside stakeholders; serve as primary liaison and coordinator for CMO's
    • Participate as a Leadership Team member, meeting all expectations set forth in Fairmount's Management Philosophy.
    • On behalf of the CEO, support the Chief Medical Officer in a manner that maximizes this position's performance and this individual's
    • In coordination with the EPPA Market Director, strategize recruitment and retention initiatives for quality providers and implement strategies that can leverage providers across EPPA member facilities.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college with a major in Business Administration or Mental Health related field required. Master's degree preferred.

    Experience: Behavioral Health experience preferred; prior management and training experience to ensure and understanding of both systems and time management. HR experience a plus.

    Environmental Conditions: General office environment, computer and other office equipment.

    Skills: Silent observation, active listening, verbal and written communication, outcomes, collegial team building, assessment, outcome identification, planning, decision making, leadership, personal organization, computer competence, ability to be self-directed. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending climbing and stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.
