Health Information Services Director directs and oversees all policies and procedures related to healthcare information management. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the medical records and transcription departments. Being a Health Information Services Director reviews processes and identifies areas for improvement taking into account user needs. May act as liaison between information services and technology department, ensuring that systems are accessible and in accordance with the needs of the organization. Additionally, Health Information Services Director ensures that all record keeping and information disbursement complies with HIPAA regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, a related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Information Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Information Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Mission Statement:

    The US Government Contract Specialist will be on point for government compliance and flow down requirements for the US Traction Auxiliaries Business. In this role, you will be responsible for the identification of government contracting requirements and the completion of the government compliance workflow, including risk assessment, from the initial bidding of jobs involving governmental entities through the execution of won jobs. The purpose of this position is to ensure that all government contracting opportunities and potential jobs can be executed in full compliance with all applicable government regulations, all won government-funded jobs are executed compliantly, all required documentation is maintained for audit capability and readiness.

    Main Accountabilities

    • Coordinate, interface, facilitate and train and provide guidance to contract/project staff and relevant function areas (Commercial and Business teams) regarding federal procurements (predominantly Commercial items), federal non-procurements such as grants, and s /state/local governments contracting processes, procedures, and their application.
    • Provide support to products and services teams to manage a diverse contracts administration workload comprised of federal/state/local agencies and higher tier contractors through the project cycle from opportunity development and bidding through contract formation, and contract administration including change management and subcontract management, contract invoicing and contract close-out
    • Administers, or provides support to other business functions when applicable, government-imposed contract actions such as; application of prime contract clauses and flow-down clauses, domestic material preferences, prevailing wages and related labor laws, supplier eligibility, representations and certifications and terms flow-downs, contract modifications, various reporting requirements such as Service Contracting Reporting, Small Business Subcontracting Plans, etc., and develop solution(s) to solving contractual challenges as related to government contracting requirements; engage in project reviews, as applicable.
    • Ensure each government job has the necessary documents in place for future audit readiness
    • Provide compliance guidance for essential government clauses and requirements to follow to ensure we are compliant

    Provide guidance to applicable business functional owners related to customer contracting requirements, as necessary.

    Current economic environment and need to ensure adherence to government regulations throughout government contract lifecycle, need to augment number of people having the knowledge or experience need to ensure compliant on all contracts and projects, and has audit trail capability

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • US Citizen & Bachelor's degree in business or related field plus 5 years of experience in administration of government contracting, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated relevant accomplishments
    • Working knowledge of working with federal, state and local government contracting requirements and regulations.
    • Must be organized, detail oriented, and demonstrate strong time management and critical thinking skills and be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects with limited supervision
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
    • Must have excellent MS Word and MS Excel skills
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work in a team environment and support others

    Desired Characteristics

    • General knowledge of state and local government laws including statutes, codes, and ordinances
    • Working knowledge of commercial contracts and agreements with non-governmental entities
    • Experience supporting Industrial services or products.
