We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Your expertise in financial analysis and risk assessment will contribute to the success of our organization.

Duties:
- Review and analyze applications to determine eligibility and creditworthiness
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including tax returns, financial statements, and credit reports
- Perform quantitative analysis to evaluate risk and make informed decisions
- Collect and verify necessary documentation for the origination process
- Collaborate with officers, account managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential areas of concern and propose appropriate solutions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports summarizing findings and recommendations

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, mortgage servicing, and financial modeling
- Proficient in quantitative analysis techniques and data collection methods
- Excellent understanding of underwriting principles and practices
- Ability to assess risk accurately and make informed decisions
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear report writing
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
