Provides therapy to oncology patients and their families referred for outpatient behavioral health services. Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care for patients attending outpatient programs. Maintains accountability for own care to assure adherence to ethical standards. Consistently utilizes a holistic approach (considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety and related criteria), appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned service area.

• Provides individual and group therapy utilizing a variety of treatment modalities. Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional and clinical expertise.
• Provides education/information to patients, families, and referral sources.
• Demonstrates a commitment to understanding the physical as well as cognitive and emotional challenges of cancer and its treatment.
• Appropriately transitions clients to community-based resources.
• Consistently utilizes a holistic approach (considering the physical, social/psychological, and educational level of patients, and families). Arranges referrals for spiritual, educational, safety and related needs of patients/families.
• Maintains accurate concise documentation for accreditation and coordination of patient care.
