    Job Summary
    UK’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) assists with the compliance needs of approximately 2,500 international students and scholars. ISSS is reliant upon Sunapsis, an applications system developed by Indiana University and available for use by universities nationwide. Sunapsis enables universities to remain compliant with DHS’s Student and Exchange Visitor’s Information System (SEVIS) requirements to host international student and scholars.

    The Database Management Specialist Sr. is the sole applications support/database manager for the University of Kentucky’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). As the primary applications support to the various immigration-related processes at the university, the Database Management Specialist Sr. will serve as one of 5 Designated School Officials (DSOs) and 7 Responsible Officers with access to SEVIS.

    Position requires technical knowledge of SQL Microsoft systems, ColdFusion and sunapsis development or similar experience in using other multi-tiered web, DB and client server applications. Position is approved as 100% remote with availability during work hours of staff (EST).

    Position is fully remote within the contiguous US .
    Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
    Sunapsis, Microsoft SQL, Coldfusion, Java or other similar software applications

    Preferred Education/Experience
    Experience within a higher educational setting or experience with F-1 and J-1 visa status regulations as established by DHS/SEVIS.

    Eligibility to obtain SEVIS certification.
