Health Underwriting Director jobs in Brockton, MA
Health Underwriting Director directs and oversees the health insurance underwriting program for individuals and/or groups for medical and/or dental insurance. Responsible for ensuring integrity of underwriting activities and processes. Being a Health Underwriting Director manages staff of underwriters at the organization. Provides assistance to underwriters on more complex applications. Additionally, Health Underwriting Director has a strong knowledge of the underwriting discipline. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Health Underwriting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Underwriting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Practice Manager/Operations Director Job Responsibilities
- Fulfill Program Administrator Role as outlined by Virginia Administrative Code.
- Develop, implement, and enforce company procedures according to agency, state,
- Establish and maintain community relationships.
- Plan and administer managerial, operational, fiscal, and reporting components of the
- Ensure the safety and well-being of staff and clients through the development and
standards.
- Participate in the Performance Improvement Plan for client care, staff retention, and
