Health Underwriting Director directs and oversees the health insurance underwriting program for individuals and/or groups for medical and/or dental insurance. Responsible for ensuring integrity of underwriting activities and processes. Being a Health Underwriting Director manages staff of underwriters at the organization. Provides assistance to underwriters on more complex applications. Additionally, Health Underwriting Director has a strong knowledge of the underwriting discipline. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Health Underwriting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the position of Health Occupations Training Director.
Responsibilities: This 12-month, full-time position is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of the WNCC workforce Health Occupations Training initiatives and for supervising program development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Nursing Assistant (NA), Medication Aide (MA), Medical Assistant, Medical Terminology programs and courses, and other programs and courses as future needs are identified.
Required Qualifications:
Salary: Pay range begins at $68,000. Increase in starting salary may be given due to education and experience. Excellent benefits.
