Health Underwriting Manager manages the health insurance underwriting program for individuals and/or groups for medical and/or dental insurance. Ensures integrity of underwriting activities and processes. Being a Health Underwriting Manager participates in the development of master policies and other official documents. Verifies that the account contracts are in compliance with government regulations. Additionally, Health Underwriting Manager typically is a RN with clinical experience. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Health Underwriting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Health Underwriting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     JOB TITLE: Practice Manager, Sexual and Reproductive Health Services

    LOCATION: Hyannis, Sexual & Reproductive Health Services

    HOURS: Full time, some evenings required

    SALARY: $85,000

    BENEFITS: Medical, dental, holiday, paid earned leave, 403b, etc.


    OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Regional Director of Sexual and Reproductive Health Services, the Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring the provision of client centered, trauma-informed, low-barrier services, particularly for people disproportionately impacted by poor health outcomes, including those with low incomes, unhoused individuals, people with substance use disorders or mental health concerns, victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking; immigrants, LGBTQIA individuals, and youth by:

    • Managing the daily operations of the clinic, providing direct care and support for clinical operations and ensuring compliance with practice policies and procedures.
    • Hiring, supervision, training, and evaluation of personnel.
    • Implementing new policies, procedures, and initiatives.
    • Managing laboratory compliance including laboratory controls, proficiency, testing, and equipment calibration and verification requirements
    • Ensuring operational and fiscal requirements
    • Completing required monthly reports
    • Creating systems that ensure quality and access to inclusive services and overseeing continuous quality improvement activities.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Sexual and Reproductive Health Services.

    Requirements

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in health-related field and at least 3 years managing a clinical,

    behavioral, or health program. A commitment to and passion for Health Imperatives’ mission and values. Maintain

    flexible schedule to meet program needs including some evenings and/or occasional weekends. Strong organizational

    skills, flexibility, and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working with diverse populations and ability to demonstrate cultural humility. Reliable transportation.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual; medical assistant experience; experience working with eCW electronic medical record system.
