Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Administrator trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     Role Summary:


    As a Health Services Administrator, you will oversee the entire healthcare operations within the correctional facility, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of medical, dental, and mental health services. Your leadership will be pivotal in promoting a culture of compassionate care, compliance with healthcare standards, and continuous improvement of patient outcomes.


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health care services in accordance with the facility's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality care delivery.
    • Develop and manage the healthcare services budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare in a correctional setting, including maintaining accreditation standards.
    • Collaborate with correctional staff, external medical providers, and community resources to coordinate inmate care.
    • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services and patient outcomes.
    • Address inmate grievances related to healthcare services, ensuring timely and appropriate resolutions.


    Qualifications:


    • Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong preference for experience in correctional health, hospital management, or public health administration.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage healthcare operations, including staff management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong commitment to healthcare excellence, ethical practices, and compassionate patient care.
    • Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment and make critical decisions related to inmate healthcare.
