Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Administrator trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. We are currently seeking a full-time Health Services Administrator to join our team at Lansing Correctional Facility located in Lansing, Kansas.
The Health Services Administrator (HSA) is responsible for managing the overall operations of the contracted clinical program at a designated correctional facility or complex of facilities within a Centurion contract. Additional responsibilities include planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising the clinical program providing services to patients in a correctional setting to meet service deliver requirements of the specific contract.
Essential Duties:
• Planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising the clinical program providing services to patients in a correctional setting
• Helping to meet service delivery requirements of the specific contract
• Bachelor’s degree in hospital administration, healthcare administration, health and human services, business administration, public administration, nursing, or related field required
• Experience as a healthcare, nursing home, or mental health administrator, as a nurse manager, or as part of management in a multi-specialty healthcare clinic required
• Experience in correctional environment preferred
• Must have ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with staff and institutional administration
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
