Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven Safety and Compliance Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a positive outlook, clear focus on accuracy, and strong planning and critical thinking skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our drivers comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations, particularly regarding Hours of Service and CSA scores. You will play a crucial role in maintaining driver safety and compliance, contributing to the overall success and safety culture of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
● Ensure driver compliance with all FMCSA rules for Hours of Service.
● Submit DataQ challenges to the FMCSA to aid in reducing CSA scores.
● Implement and process driver CSA and performance scorecards annually.
● Assist in developing strategies to improve CSA scores.
● Maintain and audit Driver Qualification Files in accordance with FMCSA
guidelines, supporting the company's goal to become paperless by scanning and
maintaining these files digitally.
● Manage the recordkeeping and maintenance of electronic logs (eLogs), including
conducting internal random eLog audits.
● Support the Coaching & New Hire Program by tracking and checking in with
coaches and new hires, providing training updates, and documenting evaluations.
● Process termination of employment, including submitting employment history to
HireRight and managing Driver Qualification Files accordingly.
● Perform various clerical data entry functions to support Driver Supervisors,
Licensing & Compliance, and the Safety department.
● Collect, process, and retain driver citations and inspections in accordance with
FMCSA regulations.
● Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Learning Management
System (Infinit-I).
● Serve as a backup to the Licensing and Compliance Administrator.
Requirements:
● Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain professional boundaries.
● Reliable with a record of good attendance.
● Excellent organizational and planning skills.
● Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with various departments.
● Familiarity with electronic log systems is a plus but not required
