Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing effective safety programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety and risk management.
Duties:
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Provide training to employees on safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop safety plans for each project
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in construction safety
- Utilize construction management software to track safety data and generate reports
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety or related field
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with risk management principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) software for documentation and reporting purposes
- EM-385 certifications recommended.
