GENERAL
The Site Safety Health Officer is responsible for the development, organization, execution, and assessment of Contractor’s safety program. SSHO shall carry out all comprehensive requirements for the safety of the contract and military installation and shall be responsible for all safety and compliance reporting to include EOSH compliance, Environmental Safety, Hazcom/GHS, Recycling, Solid and Hazardous Waste, Emergency Preparedness, Fire Prevention, and others. SSHO shall work jointly with construction field personnel to help oversee project from Award to Completion.

Knowledge – Knowledge of the occupational hazards and of safety precautions necessary in construction, demolition, etc. Knowledge of the laws and local ordinances regulating construction site safety, including hazardous waste disposal. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Knowledge of the hazards involved in the use of light to heavy equipment and power tools and of the safety precautions to be taken.
