Health and Safety Supervisor supervises the identification and remediation of hazardous workplace conditions. Oversees the measurement and sampling of hazardous materials, and any removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Supervisor investigates, analyzes, and reports on any accidents or unsafe events and suggests remedial and preventative actions. Develops a safety conscious culture by providing workforce education on first aid, emergency/safety procedures and regulations. Additionally, Health and Safety Supervisor ensures all necessary records are maintained and are in compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations. Participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a Manager. The Health and Safety Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Health and Safety Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. JOB SUMMARY
The Safety Lead provides technical safety and health support in the workplace to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable safety regulations.

WHAT WILL THE RIGHT PERSON LOOK LIKE?
The right person will have a minimum of 1-3 years of Manufacturing and/or Construction Safety experience in an industrial environment. They will have a working knowledge of OSHA Regulations, Process Safety Management Systems and experience in developing and implementing safety policies. The right person would also be very experienced with Microsoft and will have had some Training and Presentation experience.
