Description
SAIC is seeking a EDI Business Analyst to join our dynamic team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs and the FSC mission. The EDI Business Analyst will lead and provide direction working in multiple Architecture Domains (Business, Technology, Network Infrastructure, Data, Security, and Governance) to implement FSC Vision, Mission Goals, Objectives and Business Strategy, and help lead the translation of the business strategy into a technical strategy.
This role is 100% remote!
Job Duties:
- Requires in-depth knowledge of HIPPA, X12 and experience working with HL7
- Identify best practices and implementation requirements approved by client
- Manage projects through their full lifecycle
- Familiar with process workflow tools (eg. Visio, Powerpoint, U-draw)
- Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Must be highly skilled in IBM Sterling Integrator, IBM Sterling Filegateway, IBM Transformation Extender Advance (ITXA), IBM Transformation Extender (ITX).
- Strong skills in both EDI and ITX business process development and mapping.
- Knowledge of financial payroll and accounting systems, electronic healthcare, and financial claims processing.
- Responsible for creating, testing, and implementing new maps and debuging or updating existing maps
- Familiar with communication protocols like VAN, SFTP, AS2
- Knowledge of Vitria Business Ware
- Experience with EDI & B2B Integration
- Responsible for leading and collaborating on enterprise architecture design principles and define standards for the same.
- Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.

- Understand assigned clients and their service lines and actively assess/present ways to improve
- Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge and the ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Unicom System Architect and Visio tool hands-on experience with logical software and physical infrastructure architecture diagrams is required.
- Project management and organization skills; familiar with Agility, Kanban a plus
- In-depth knowledge of working with SharePoint and PowerPoint documents.
- Experience with Windows operating systems, as well as DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle databases.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, Powerpoint, Word. Etc.
- In-depth knowledge of EA processes such as Project Intake, Solution Architecture, SAFe Agility, TOGAF, SDLCM, transition planning, risk analysis, alternative analysis, and performance management.
- Knowledge of the Veterans Affairs Architecture Framework (VAAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM) and Frameworks.
- ServiceNow ITIL and incident management exposure is recommended.
- BPMN and Data Modelling exposure is recommended.
- Know how to use Managed Files Transfer (MFT)
- Experience with the latest Cloud services and technologies
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field and 5 years of relative experience
- 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of completed degree
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance under the Department of Veteran Affairs regulations.
Target salary range: $95,001 - $105,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
