The Denials Analyst will:
Under the general direction of Denials Management Manager, this position has a high level of autonomy and is responsible for leading administrative and analytical functions within the denials management functions. This position will be responsible for managing the denials reporting, data analysis, database development, information systems implementation and auditing. Duties include evaluating and presenting denials information, audit finding results and statistical trends.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Three years relevant work experience preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the hospital electronic health record systems. Experience with appeals and denial management software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and coding practices, insurance policies and claim regulations. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing claims and documentation and in report and analysis preparation.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel required. Experience with reporting and presentation software, such as Word, PowerPoint, Tableau, and Visio a plus.
