 EDI Analyst/Developer

Job Description

We seek a talented EDI analyst to design and implement a data interchange program for our customers. In this role, you will meet with customers to understand their data interchange needs, develop appropriate EDI systems, and train IT to support the team using the system. You may also be required to update and maintain the system periodically.

To be successful as an EDI analyst, you should have in-depth knowledge of software programming languages, expert troubleshooting skills, and experience with end-user training. An expert EDI analyst should be able to design and install a scalable, user-friendly system that perfectly meets the client's needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to discuss their data interchange needs.
• Analyze business systems, networking configurations, and data storage facilities.
• Build customized data interchange systems for cross-company or department use.
• Testing and debugging the system.
• Gather user feedback on the system's accuracy, efficiency, and functionality.
• Adjust and customize the system based on user feedback.
• Deploy completed systems and provide maintenance support.
• Train end-users on the proper use of the system.

Job Requirements:

• MUST HAVE: X12, XML, 800 & 900 series EDI experience. 
• Commerce Hub, SPS Commerce, will be a plus.
• EDI implementation, flat-file, file mapping, API implementation experience 
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• A minimum of two years of experience as an EDI analyst.
• Advanced knowledge of software programming and coding languages, including C#, Java, and SQL.
• Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent knowledge of software design and architecture principles.
• Ability to project manage and work with large teams.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with end-user training.
• Walmart Retail
• Python and Java are a plus.
