Healthcare Service Line Director develops and manages all functions within a specific service line e.g., oncology, cardiac, women's, orthopedics. Establishes effective strategies for programs, product/service line, and physician integration and resource utilizations with the goal of increasing service line growth, efficiency, and patient experience. Being a Healthcare Service Line Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Healthcare Service Line Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Healthcare Service Line Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.   • The Food Service Director is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the food service program; (including both the front and back of the house), management of menus, staffing, inventory, budget control, food handling, preparation/storage, safety, sanitation, and ensuring that residents and guests are consistently offered a superior dining experience.
    Description:
    • Responsible for managing a team of food service professionals as you prepare quality meals for our residents.
    • Manages and supervises Food Service staff including scheduling, assignments, training, performance reviews according to policy.
    • Orders, purchases food, supplies and equipment as needed. Ensures vendors and providers meet purchasing standards, while maintaining a positive and strong relationship with vendors.
    • Directs the proper storage of food and supplies and maintains an orderly inventory.
    • Maintains inventory, weighs and checks all incoming deliveries of food and supplies.
    • Develops, tests and maintains a file of standard recipes.
    • Plans menus to meet applicable requirements and Resident satisfaction.
    • Maintains high resident satisfaction.
    • Manages labor, raw food and supplies costs to budgeted expectations.
    • Maintains compliance with licensing, training, all applicable Health standards.
    • Maintains proper operation of all equipment and monitors safe-working conditions.
    • Maintains high quality customer service, food preparation, and facility cleanliness.
    • Assists in the preparation of the annual food serve budget and makes efforts to operate within those guidelines.
    • Evaluates food consumption and determines/minimizes waste.
    • Periodically conducts a resident response program seeking evaluation of meals.
    • Plans and assists with special events including private dinners.
    • Coordinates the food services department with other departments.
    • Establishes and maintains constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents/families, and visitors.
    • Promotes the community in a positive way.
    • Report on-the-job injuries to Executive Director, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
    • Communicates all problems to the Executive Director.
    • Be available for on-call Community emergency situations.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers.
    • Challenges current working practices; identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization’s culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.
    Qualifications:
    • 2-4 years’ experience required as a Chef.
    • Supervisory/Management experience leading a kitchen in a hospitality dining environment required.
    • Serv Safe Certified and must have knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related Health Department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations.
    • Basic computer skills: Microsoft applications, such as word, Excel, Power Point and Project.
    • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Ability to stand for periods of 4 hours or more.
