Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. As a Maintenance Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of gearboxes, installing, aligning, adjusting, and fitting subassemblies in additional to setting up and operating boring bar, drill press, milling and honing machine.
Experience working with large, heavy manufacturing equipment with the ability to run overhead crane and forklifts safely and efficiently.
The ability to apply inspection techniques (e.g., formalized inspection standards, inspection instructions, best practices) and use inspection tools efficiently is a requirement to be successful in this position.
Your understanding of how quality impacts the success of the organization and ensuring a quality product is provided consistently while continuing to strive for improvement.

Requirements
A high school education with previous manufacturing experience; ideally a minimum of three to five years’ experience. Knowledge of papermaking machinery a plus, but not required.
