Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - $17.50/hr starting for Entry Level.
- Rotating Days/Afternoons, or straight Midnight shift options.

Midnight Shift schedule: Sunday thru Thursday: 10:00pm - 6:00am
- Overtime as needed.
- Shift differential pay.
- Test heat exchangers.
- Build crates using hand and power tools.
- Assemble radiators using electric power drive unit.
- Observe, guide and assist with training.
- Assist in other areas of production as needed if qualified.
- Perform work in a safe manner and follows all safety guidelines and procedure.
- Domestic and international travel required and could include weekend travel depending on the project.
- Performs related work or job duties as required by supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Exposed to blueprint reading.
- Mechanical ability, operate air impacts, drills, other power tools.
- Read tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
- Ability to learn and advance quickly.
- Good at problem solving.
- Self-motivated.
- Understand and carry out simple oral and written instructions.
- Show ability to read, write and use basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate, in English, effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment written math test, physical, drug and background test.
- High School Diploma or GED with 1 year related work experience.
- Strong mechanical ability and experience using power tools and forklift necessary.
- Knowledge of Epicor, Ultimate software or similar ERP system.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
