Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Roles and Responsibilities :
This is a first shift (7am-3 : 30pm) position, Monday-Friday. Under limited supervision, duties include but are not limited to, performing system and sub assembly level electronic component and small gauge wire builds.
Upgrades and repairs will be performed by following assembly instructions and working to Mil standard drawings.
Qualifications and Education Requirements :
Candidate must have mechanical assembly and electrical assembly experience of complex Navy shipboard assemblies to include various types of populated chassis, thru hole CCA s and Component board assemblies.
Candidate must be familiar with soldering, crimping contacts, and mechanical assembly to be considered for this opportunity.
Must be able to use basic hand tools, crimp tools, and soldering irons. Knowledge and Understanding of IPC-A-620 Wire and Cable Requirements & J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 Soldering Requirements is a plus.

Pay Range :
The pay range for this position is $22.00-27.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
