Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Operate semi-trailer, and truck and trailer, transit mix, motor crane, A-frame, fuel truck, three-axle truck, dump truck, forklift, two-axle flatbed, water truck, farm tractor, and related equipment, passenger bus, perform taxi, chauffeur, wrecker services, and boat operation.

NOTE : The successful candidate must consent to and meet the 3-year verifiable CDL verification.
Drug screen requirements for this position are under 49 CFR 40-85 DOT / CDL Drivers. Candidate must be self-certified with Washington State Department of Licensing as a non-excepted interstate driver.
Candidate must successfully obtain and maintain a medical card issued by the registered medical provider. Position requires Radiation II and Hazardous Worker 40 hour courses.
This position is considered essential personnel. Shift work at management discretion.
