Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Summary : Seeking an Assembler with strong mechanical skills and experience in hydraulic systems for a contract position.
Job Requirements :
Proficient in reading engineering drawings / blueprints
Fluent in the use of hand & power tools
Valid driver's license and verifiable driving record
Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks (stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb)
Ability to pass drug test & background check (no felonies on record)
Preferred Skills :
Experience with hydraulics
Electrical experience
Strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and assembly skills
Electrical / wiring experience
Job Responsibilities :
Disassemble and reassemble hydraulic cylinders
Operate a centerless grinding machine
Perform various tasks in support of manufacturing operations
Adapt to modified work hours during periods of extreme heat (6 AM - 2 PM)
Pay Details : $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
