Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Summary
Forklift experience is preferred but we will also provide training.
Requirements
Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 lbs. along with the ability to stand for long periods of time. There is an occasional potential of working in extreme temperatures when unloading containers.
