Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment or machinery, such as a tractor, bulldozer, backhoe, or excavator, for the purposes of construction, demolition, or excavation. Prepares equipment and conducts routine inspections prior to operation to ensure it is safe and in working condition. Being a Heavy Equipment Operator identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols and regulations. May be responsible for scheduling minor repairs and conducting routine maintenance like cleaning and lubricating. Additionally, Heavy Equipment Operator requires a high school diploma. May require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Equipment Operator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.   • Triangle Ranch is seeking a hardworking Heavy Equipment Operator II to join our crew. The priority of the heavy equipment operator is to control underbrush effectively and efficiently, as well as maintain machinery and the buildings located on property.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operate and maintain heavy equipment to clear brush from property.
    • Maintain the appearance of shop areas, fence lines. to include spraying of pesticides.
    • Perform maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
    • Coordinate with third-party contractors.
    • Support various assignments and tasks with a high degree of quality and efficiency.
    • Take initiative to solve and analyze problems; find ways to continually improve processes and efficiencies.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Relevant certifications or advanced degree a plus.
    • 3 years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, motor grader, skid steer, etc., to include general handyman skills.
    • Understands pesticide labels and application notification procedures and wears appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
    • Solid interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work as part of a team.
    • Proficient computer skills with ability to use Microsoft tools.
    • Must possess a valid in-state driver’s license.
