Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment or machinery, such as a tractor, bulldozer, backhoe, or excavator, for the purposes of construction, demolition, or excavation. Prepares equipment and conducts routine inspections prior to operation to ensure it is safe and in working condition. Being a Heavy Equipment Operator identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols and regulations. May be responsible for scheduling minor repairs and conducting routine maintenance like cleaning and lubricating. Additionally, Heavy Equipment Operator requires a high school diploma. May require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Equipment Operator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. The yard associate and/or general labor is part of a small tight knit team. They work closely with the mentally of all hands-on deck and a team mission to accomplish all work. We look for individuals who love working outside, working with their hands, have skid steer, hilo, front end loader, backhoe, excavator, bobcat experience, and some mechanical inclination.

Position Details for Yard Associate / General Labor / Equipment Operator:
The Yard Associate interacts with customers while inspecting various grades of material upon delivery into the yard. Sort and upgrade materials to meet quality standards per established protocols. Operate small equipment as needed to process and prepare material prior to shipment.
