Heavy Equipment Operator jobs in West Chester, PA
Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment or machinery, such as a tractor, bulldozer, backhoe, or excavator, for the purposes of construction, demolition, or excavation. Prepares equipment and conducts routine inspections prior to operation to ensure it is safe and in working condition. Being a Heavy Equipment Operator identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols and regulations. May be responsible for scheduling minor repairs and conducting routine maintenance like cleaning and lubricating. Additionally, Heavy Equipment Operator requires a high school diploma. May require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Equipment Operator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. YOUR SCHEDULE
This full-time position will work from 7 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday . We provide opportunities for overtime!
YOUR DAY
In this position, you will be responsible for operating multiple types of power construction equipment in civil construction such as excavators and bulldozers of all sizes to excavate, move, and grade materials within finish specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
Every day will be different, as the specific tasks you complete will depend on the needs of each individual job.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of experience offering heavy equipment
- Experience operating an excavator
- Reliable transportation
- Civil site work experience is preferred but not required
