Helicopter Pilot is responsible for operation of helicopter. Ensures flight is conducted in the safest manner possible. Being a Helicopter Pilot determines flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements. Must stay current with federal and local flight regulations. Additionally, Helicopter Pilot requires 1,000 hours of helicopter flying time. May require an associate degree. Requires Commercial Pilot license for helicopters - CPL (H). Typically reports to a supervisor. Helicopter Pilot's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.   • Seeking a Helicopter Pilot to fly various utility missions. Missions include low-level flights in the wire environment while carrying observers performing visual and/or camera inspections. Missions will also occasionally include aerial survey, police assistance, pipeline survey, and charter flights. Job will include occasional travel.

    The right candidate will have the option to move into leadership roles in the future as Chief Pilot or Director of Operations.

    To be considered for this position, you should be a licensed Commercial Helicopter Pilot and have a minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time. Instrument and CFI ratings are preferred. Utility experience and FITWE certification a huge plus!

    Responsibilities

    • Create a flight plan, and send appropriate documentation before flight
    • Pre-flight aircraft
    • Conduct passenger briefings
    • Work closely and communicate with co-workers on utility missions
    • Fill out reports about the flight and the status of the aircraft after landing
    • Occasionally help with keeping hangar and aircraft clean and tidy

    Skills

    • Commercial Pilot’s Licence
    • At least 1,500 hours of flight time
    • Excellent knowledge of Federal Aviation regulations and safety procedures
    • Good judgment with the ability to react quickly to hazards
    • Communication and collaboration skills

    Pay: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
