Help Desk Supervisor supervises the staff and the day-to-day operations of an organization's technical help desk. Supports and coaches team members on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Being a Help Desk Supervisor trains the team on the help desk systems, processes, tools, and procedures required to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Ensures the latest product/technical updates and policies are available and communicated to the team. Additionally, Help Desk Supervisor monitors request queue and tracks key metrics to ensure sufficient coverage and achievement of service standards. Identifies system and workflow improvements to enhance the team's efficiency. Acts as the escalation point for critical issues and facilitates a final resolution. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Help Desk Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Help Desk Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     PERIKIN Enterprises, LLC looking to hire a full-time IT Help Desk Administrator to staff the Albuquerque, NM office. The ideal candidate must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, explain its solution, and thrive on helping coworkers reach their goals. We seek team-oriented, highly motivated professionals with a background in IT help desk, networking, information systems administration, and cyber security.

    The ideal candidate will have experience with IT Help Desk, basic LAN/WAN networks, Windows Servers, Active Directory Services including Azure, Office 365, hardware and software upgrades, troubleshooting network outages and end user issues, and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of NIST 800-171 and be current on cyber security best practices, including multi-factor authentication and encryption technologies.
    PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

    Resolve end-user inquiries by utilizing multiple technologies, including email, telephony, chat, and web-based applications.

    Troubleshoot desktop environments running Microsoft Windows operating systems.

    Troubleshoot mobile environments running iOS and Android operating systems.

    Provides technical assistance in product evaluations and sourcing.

    Installs and configures software and hardware.

    Identifies and resolves issues related to computer and network connectivity.

    Creation and management of user Active Directory accounts and miscellaneous software accounts.

    Manages user accounts and licenses within O365 Admin Portal.

    Manages and supports end-user devices like desktop systems, mobile devices, and other peripheral equipment.

    Assists in testing, analyzing, and resolving issues related to Windows Server operating systems.

    Provides enhanced desktop and customer support services.

    Orders new equipment, sets up workstations for new employees, and maintains existing computers.

    Assists employees with troubleshooting hardware and software issues in multiple geographical locations.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from College or University preferred

    Minimum of three to five years of experience preferred

    A certification

    CompTIA Security or CompTIA Network Certification is highly preferred. The candidate will be expected to have earned Security certification within the first 180 days of employment.

    Secret DoD Clearance preferred

    Customer service or help desk experience is highly preferred

    Analytical orientation with strong attention to detail
