Job Title: Kitchen Helper

Job Description:

We are seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our small American steakhouse in Story, Wyoming. The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for supporting the kitchen staff in the preparation of food and cleaning of dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of food items, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and marinades, and other tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including countertops, cutting boards, and utensils.
• Wash dishes, glassware, and silverware in a timely and efficient manner.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, including sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out the trash.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a restaurant kitchen is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
